Who are we being that we are on the brink of a war?

What can we do to stop wars?

Consider that war is an end result of unresolved conflicts.

Understand some of the way the world works. The people in the armed forces are employed to do as they are told by their government, in the ways that they have been trained. The leaders of the government choose how to direct their military forces. The people in government usually are in place and remain there by the action or lack of action by the citizens to the country that they govern.

So knowing this, you can probably see that everybody can make a difference. By enrolling more people in the possibility of resolving differences, wars may be less likely. (People who manufacture weapons of war may then fear losing their job, and they may need some assistance.)

Provide viable alternatives to war. What are other solutions than war, to the issues that countries are hostile with each other about? Is the hostility only an issue between a few leaders, and they are using their countries' whole armies in a power struggle? Are there enough people willing to speak up?

In countries where governments are elected, it is possible to have a proportion of the population declaring their intention to not support candidates who support war. Politicians take notice of things that affect their chances of being re-elected.

I believe that war is sometimes necessary. Unless we are willing to do whatever it takes to defend our freedom, we will suffer and have no peace. We need to be willing to declare war if ever necessary to defend our country from foreign invasion.

If our own government should happen to attack our own people we also need to be willing to fight. There is no guarantee that we will never have corrupt leadership.

Let us stop labeling people and judging them.
Then instead of having pacifists and warmongers, we can all be people being powerful creators of peace.
