On 7 January 2003 I did something that I have wanted to do for years. It was a hot day.
I purchased an umbrella, a battery powered water pump and some plastic tubing. I then set it up with a battery, a 5 litre container of water and a push button switch.
With the water bottle, battery and pump in a small backpack I walked along some crowded city streets with my own rain falling from under my umbrella.
I had lots of fun. I enjoyed hearing people laugh. Some of the comments – “What the!”, “Look at that”, “Looks cool”
I had a ball.
I think this was harmless, unlike some of my school pranks
